Witnesses sought to act of indecency in Gungahlin

ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to an act of indecency that occurred in Gungahlin yesterday (August 26).

Around 4.20pm a 13-year-old girl was jogging around Yerrabi Ponds, near the skate park in Gungahlin.

The teenager was approached by a male on a black bike (possibly mountain bike) who indecently assaulted her before she pushed him away. The male offender rode off at speed in the direction of Hungry Jacks.

The male offender is described as between 18-20 years old, tall, clean shaven with short black curly hair and tanned skin. He was wearing a black tracksuit and black Adidas shoes (with three white stripes).

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6003944. Information can be provided anonymously.
