Police seize 41 firearms in Ngunnawal

On Friday 1 December 2017, members of ACT Policing Criminal Investigations and Firearms Registry executed a search warrant in Ngunnawal, ACT.

A total of 41 firearms (36 long arms and 5 handguns) were seized.

The owner of the firearms, a 60-year-old Ngunnawal male, had his ACT Firearms Dealers Licence suspended on 17 November 2017 for firearms licence breaches.

The male is currently on bail in NSW for serious firearm related offences.

It is anticipated the male will be charged in the ACT with Firearms Act offences.

Police urge anyone who may have any information about illegal firearms to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
