Two teenage boys have been arrested after several vehicles were stolen from gyms across Gungahlin.

The 16-year-old and 17-year-old are accused of stealing a backpack from a Cringan Circuit gym at about 1:05 pm on Wednesday (5 July), allegedly using the keys from within the bag to take off with a red Holden Barina from the car park.

Police further alleged at about 1:15 pm on the same day, the pair went to another gym on Hibberson St where it’s believed they stole a handbag with the keys to a white Holden Commodore, which was also subsequently taken.

Officers attended both gyms and used footage from CCTV to identify the alleged offenders.
