Coming soon! You won’t need to head to the city or further south to meet like minded businesses and build your referral network! – Tony Ozanne.

Being in business you would understand the importance of building a network of people around you. If you don’t have a strong referral network you may be missing an opportunity, as people do business with people they know, like and trust. If you are like me, you probably attend networking events, breakfasts, lunches, dinners etc but more often than not have to head to the city, or Deakin or even further afield.

As a Gungahlin resident myself, I have discovered there is a need to have something local to bring businesses together. Sure, via the GCC we have had a couple of business breakfasts, where we have politicians or other prominent speakers, but what about the day to day business dealings and relationships? There is a gap, or at least there was until now!

I am in the early stages of determining if there is a market for, and an interest in hosting a weekly formal networking group right here in Gungahlin to have a structured process to build relationships, share referrals and generally support local business and those who wish to do business in the Gungahlin area.

At this stage I am looking to get this running in mid to late August, and would love to know your interest in such an opportunity.

All I have done at this stage is provide some information and a portal for people to pre-register to find out more. You won’t be bombarded with a drip fed campaign trying to sell anything, and apart from saying ‘thanks for registering’ you won’t hear from me until I have something to say about the start date then will welcome you to come along.

To have a look at the information and to register your interest click on this link.

You may have some questions?

Who would this suit? Any business owner or manager or even sales based employee in any sector be it retail, trades, finance, services etc…If you sell to others then it would benefit you.

Is there a cost? There will be, but the aim will be a minimal membership, and instead of normal annual fees, this will be a quarterly very affordable option + breakfast cost. Currently I’m thinking around the $10/wk membership.

Who can join?

Anyone as above, this isn’t just for Gungahlin businesses, but anyone who wants to expand their networking based in Gungahlin. The membership will allow only one person per business category so you will have exclusivity of your business type i.e. only one Accountant, banker, builder etc.

Where will it be? This is still to be locked away…I’m trying to find a suitable place to hold where we can get a decent feed and real coffee for a great valued price locally…size of venue and exclusive area are the challenge so far, but this would be advised when I have something to tell later!

Other questions?Simply email Tony, or REGISTER TO GET UPDATES. There is nothing to lose by expressing an interest and you can then decide after if it will be of benefit to you.

So, if you are a keen networker, who would appreciate the extra time in bed versus driving around town, register your interest and I will be in touch when this is ready to go!
