Witnesses sought to attempted aggravated robbery in Casey

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the attempted aggravated robbery of a 74-year-old man in Casey yesterday (31 July 2019).

About 11am on Wednesday, the man was walking through a Horse Park Drive underpass towards the Casey dog park when he was assaulted by two teenage males. The teenagers attempted to take the man’s belongings but he refused and the teenagers ran away.

The teenagers are described as:

Male 1: about 15-years-old, Caucasian in appearance, about 173cm (5’8”) tall, slim build with long light brown hair. He was wearing a dark grey jumper and dark grey tracksuit pants; and

Male 2: about 15-years-old, Caucasian in appearance, about 173cm (5’8”) tall with dark brown hair. He was wearing a black hoody and black pants.

Police believe there were a number of people in the area who may have witnessed this incident.
