This morning traffic was backed up from Caswell Drive and onto Gungahlin Drive due to a bus fire due to a mechanical fault.
Action released the following statement today:
“At 7.37am Tuesday 5 May an ACTION bus was travelling north on Caswell Dr when the driver identified engine issues. The driver pulled the vehicle off the road and called for assistance. The fire brigade was called at 7.39am. Once at the scene, traffic arrangements were put in place as the presence of smoke was investigated by emergency services. There were no passengers on the bus.”
