Street racing vehicles seized in Gungahlin area

Four vehicles have been confiscated by police following two separate street racing incidents in the Gungahlin area.

ACT Policing said officers saw a grey Audi and black BMW speeding along Gundaroo Drive between the Barton Highway and Gungahlin Drive at about 4:25 pm on Sunday (8 May).

Later that evening at about 10:15 pm, officers then saw a grey Kia Stinger and blue Holden Commodore sedan travelling more than 150 km/h northbound on Gungahlin Drive in Kaleen.

All four vehicles were seized and towed from the scenes, with the drivers facing significant fines, court or both once investigations into both incidents are completed.

Police said they are searching for witnesses or dashcam footage from anyone who may have been travelling in either area on Sunday (8 May) afternoon and evening.
