Libraries ACT’s branches including the Heritage Library will be closed on Wednesday 22 March 2017 for the annual planning day to enable all library employees to meet and continue to provide good services to the ACT community.
“The annual planning day closure will affect the Heritage Library and the Access Canberra driver license service located at Civic Library. Regular programs like story time and Giggle & Wiggle will also not be held,” Vanessa Little, Director, Libraries ACT said.
“Online services will be available however for library users. This includes downloading digital material, searching, requesting and renewing any items online. Items can also be returned using the return chutes located outside each Libraries ACT branch.
“Libraries ACT operate every day of the week and closing for one day a year is needed for all the team to come together to help plan ahead and continue to develop a variety of programs and initiatives.
“All library services will return as normal on Thursday 23 March, 2017,” Ms Little concluded.
