Progress continues on the duplication of Horse Park Drive following another traffic switchover to the new carriageway between Mulligans Flat Road and Jacka.

Southbound traffic on Horse Park Drive was switched to the newly finished road between Jacka, opposite the Amaroo playing fields, and the intersection of Horse Park Drive and Mulligans Flat Road in Bonner earlier today, Friday 14 December 2018.

The intersection at Roden Cutler Drive will continue to function with its current signal operation. Motorists and pedestrians should be aware that the intersection has increased in size.

Motorists will no longer be able to turn right from Mornington Crescent onto Horse Park Drive. Northbound traffic will continue to use the existing road which will be signposted and delineated as a single lane.

The duplication of Horse Park Drive will improve road conditions for all road users; motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. We ask that everyone be mindful of the changed traffic conditions and please take care.

This follows on from the opening of the new carriageway between Well Station Drive and the Federal Highway. Traffic in this section has been moved onto the new two kilometre carriageway.

Roadside signage will alert road users to the changed traffic arrangements.
