The Gungahlin Jets Juniors are excited to announce we are now calling for expressions of interest for any persons wanting to be coach / assistant coach in age groups U11 and above in 2017.
It is expected (but not yet confirmed) that the following structure will be in place for 2017:
- Under 11
- Under 12
- Under 13
- Under 14
- Under 15 Boys
- Under 16 Boys
- Rising Stars / Under 18 Boys will be part of the Senior competition
- Youth Girls U16
- Youth Girls U19
This is the first step to becoming a Gungahlin Jets Junior coach, one of the most important positions in any club. Please email the Gungahlin Jets Juniors Coaching Coordinator at [email protected] if you have a desire to coach in 2017.
This year there will be a slight change in the process from last year:
- Step 1 – Submit yourexpressions of interest;
- Step 2 – May involve a formal application & interview. This will depend on the number of persons who have expressed an interest in the same age group. The Coaching Coordinator will advise all nominees of requirements for this stage;
- Step 3 – The coaching panel will assess applicants;
- Step 4 – The coaching panel will recommend a successful applicant to the Junior committee and Board for endorsement.
Where there is more than one applicant for a single age group there may be a need for the Coaching Coordinator to advise both nominees of the name(s) of other applicants for that age group and work in conjunction with all nominees.
All we need at this stage is an e-mail stating that you are interested in coaching “X” age group in 2017. If you are interested in being an Assistant Coach, please specify this in your response.
