Banks man faces court for aggravated Gungahlin robbery

A 27-year-old Banks man will face ACT Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, 28 January) in relation to an alleged aggravated robbery in Gungahlin on Thursday, 16 January.

The alleged victim is believed to have had a monetary dispute with one of the offenders and was assaulted by the alleged offenders and his vehicle taken.

About 1pm on Saturday (January 25) ACT Policing Criminal Investigations members executed a search warrant on a vehicle in Palmerston. As a result, two men were arrested and the victim’s vehicle was recovered by police.

The man appearing today has been charged with aggravated robbery, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and make demand, with threat to kill. Police will oppose bail.
