A 27-year-old Moncrieff woman was allegedly caught driving at more than five times the legal alcohol limit on Sunday night (7 November).

At about 10:30 pm, ACT Policing was conducting random breath testing in Dickson when they stopped a Honda Jazz.

After returning a positive roadside alcohol screening, the driver was taken into custody. Police checks also revealed her learner licence had expired in May 2016.

Police took the driver to City Police Station where she recorded a breath analysis of 0.265, more than five times the 0.05 legal limit.

The woman, who is on bail, with conditions including that she not drive, will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (8 November) charged with drink driving and driving without a licence.
