ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives executed search warrants on a vehicle and residence as part of Taskforce Nemesis targeting the criminal activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs (OMCGs).

The first search warrant executed on a residence in Casey resulted in an amount of anabolic steroids being located and seized.

The second search warrant on a vehicle located a weapon (large knife) and a variety of drug items including anabolic steroids, MDMA (ecstasy), cannabis and meth-amphetamine.

The 29-year-old Casey man will appear in court at a later date.

Chief Police Officer Rudi Lammers said the search warrants were part of a commitment by ACT Policing to disrupt, disable and dismantle the criminal activities of OMCGs.

“Our message is simple: anyone who chooses to participate in, or associate with, organised crime, particularly outlaw motor cycle groups, will be targeted by police,” CPO Lammers said.

ACT Policing is urging anyone who may have information relating to criminal activity to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
