Goodwin Aged Care Services is pleased to announce the release of the final stage of their newest development of accommodation for active over-60s at The Central in Crace.
Goodwin Chief Executive Officer, Sue Levy said, ”I am excited about this new offering which delivers a new approach to retirement accommodation”.
“The Central is designed to capture the benefits of urban living while providing sophisticated apartments and townhouses for modern Canberra seniors.”
Award-winning builders Manteena will carry out construction. Manteena will partner with AMC Architecture, who were responsible for designing Goodwin’s Monash Green development – which won Best Retirement Living Development at the National Property Council of Australia’s Innovation and Excellence Awards earlier this year – as well as Dowse Projects who will oversee the project.
Construction will begin in mid November 2015 with completion expected in December 2016.
”The design is informed by all of our previous builds, including those that have won some very prestigious awards, so we are very excited by this latest venture,” Ms Levy said.
The final stage of The Central will include 57 secure, light-filled apartments and eight two- storey townhouses, to add to the 70 pre-existing apartments and Lifestyle Clubhouse. It is one of few retirement options available in the burgeoning, family-oriented Gungahlin area so strong demand is expected for this development.
Goodwin is Canberra’s longest standing provider, with 61 years of experience.
