My Gungahlin Is Jumping To Cure Diabetes

There are many reasons why people jump out of a plane. Some people jump when they reach a milestone, some jump as a team building activity and others jump to face their fear. My Gungahlin is Jumping to Cure Diabetes with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation!

As part of Canberra’s Centenary celebrations, JDRF is aiming to raise $100,000 through 100 tandem skydive jumps. My Gungahlin will be part of Canberra’s record breaking history and help find a cure for the fastest growing chronic disease among Australian children.

To ensure My Gungahlin qualifies to jump out of the plane on Sunday 24th March 2013 we need to raise at least $1,000. With over 1,900 LIKES on our Facebook page we think that is more than achievable. We want to raise at least $5,000 for JDRF! That’s less than $3.00 per LIKE!

To donate go to the JDRF Jump To Cure Diabetes My Gungahlin website and donate generously.

For each business that donates at least $50 we will post a thank you shout out on our Facebook page. If your Gungahlin business takes out a Platinum Listing with us in financial year 2013/2014 we will deduct the value of your donation from our annual listing fee.

You are welcome to come watch the jump on the day. We will post details closer to the day.

Better yet, there are more spots available on the 24th of March with us. Will YOU take the challenge and Jump To Cure Diabetes? I dare you! Sign up here at JDRF Jump ACT.

With thanks to Telstra Countrywide manager Chris Taylor this signed Raiders jersey has been donated. Each person that donates to our fundraising will go into the draw to win it. Donations must be made prior to the 24th of March 2013.

We will be drawing the winner of the Jersey at 1pm at the Telstra shop Gungahlin. For fairness Chris Taylor will draw a name out of a hat seeing as we have had so many of our friends and family enter. We will notify the winner once drawn. Good luck!
