Gundaroo Drive to Francis Forde Boulevard and Francis Forde Boulevard to Mulligans Flat Road – Change in Pedestrian Arrangements.
Along the duplication sections, two new bridges are to be constructed adjacent to the existing bridges. Works are soon to commence on the new bridge near Forde Pond and the shared pedestrian and cycle path passing under this bridge is scheduled to be closed for the period from 11 September 2017 to the end of February 2018.
A pedestrian detour will be put in place to direct all pedestrians to the bridge underpass near Katherine Ave. (refer to diagram below).
Works for the second new bridge near Katherine Avenue will commence only after the first bridge at Forde Pond is complete. The underpass will be reopened to allow pedestrian and cycle traffic to pass under Horse Park Drive. The second bridge is currently scheduled for construction between February and August 2018.
