Dainere’s Rainbow Bal Masque Gala Fundraising Dinner 2019

On Saturday the 15th June 2019 over 200 masked guests attended the GroupOne Dainere’s Rainbow Brain Tumour Research Fund’s Bal Masque Gala Dinner at The Abbey, Gold Creek.

This years Gala Dinner was to celebrate and honour Dainere Anthoney in what should have been her 21st birthday year. From when Dainere was diagnosed with a brain tumour she was incredibly inspiring, tireless, passionate, selfless, prolific and devoted to advocacy and fundraising work to give hope and create change for every single child diagnosed with a brain tumour.

The Dainere’s Rainbow Brain Tumour Research Fund Committee had set a goal of raising $45,000 from the evening. The Committee and Anthoney family are completely overwhelmed, absolutely honoured, extremely humbled and grateful beyond words to announce that the Total Funds Raised at the GroupOne Dainere’s Rainbow Bal Masque Gala Fundraising Dinner 2019 was a record breaking $50,945.00. 100% of this money goes directly to research at the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation into paediatric brain tumours.

The Abbey was decorated by Ivory Hollow Events, Eclipse Lighting and Sound provided the lighting and sound and Happy Days Jukebox and Party Hire provided large light up letters light spelling our DAINERE and their Mirror Me Booth. For dinner guests enjoyed wonderful meals prepared by The Abbey and were entertained by Marie Antoinette (Deidre Rose), Mickey Sulit, H-CEE Family, Tabla Bellydance and The Winter Fox Oracle.

This astonishing result would not have been possible without the support and generosity of numerous businesses and individuals in our Community who the Committee wish to express their sincere, eternal and humble gratitude to: The remarkable Major Partners for this Event GroupOne, Qcity Transit, Rolfe Property Services, Simeco Pty Ltd, Teresa Smith, GENLEC, Regional Wholesale Fruit Canberra, The Duxton at O’Connor Please see below for the generous Community Partners that supported the event through generous donations of prizes.

The Committee also acknowledges the legendary Dainere’s Rainbow Corporate Community Partners; Transit Graphics, Qcity Transit and My Gungahlin.

“To every single guest who attended the evening, words seem too insignificant to express our gratitude. Please know that you are the ones that have made a massive contribution to creating change and providing hope for future generations of children diagnosed with paediatric brain tumours. You are Champions and we hope you not only feel part of Team Dainere’s Rainbow but will also consider continuing to support the work we do.

For all the children diagnosed with paediatric brain tumours, those who have lost their courageous battles, those who are presently fighting and those who are survivors but have been left with devastating side effects from this horrendous disease these funds raised are in honour of you all.

Heartfelt gratitude to Skye and Tanya from Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation and the remarkable Associate Professor David Ziegler for his passion, dedication, and immeasurable contribution to improving outcomes and life goal of 100% cure rate for all children diagnosed with paediatric brain tumours.

We are so proud that 100% of these funds raised go directly to where they are needed, as Dainere’s Rainbow is run entirely by love and unpaid volunteers.” Yvonne Anthoney

This years event sold out in record time with very little marketing and we know that 2020 will be even bigger on the 13th June 2020 and with the theme of ‘You’re The Stars’ it will not only be lots of fun but is for you to walk the red carpet and be in the spotlight.
