Man to face drug trafficking charges

A 32-year-old Crace man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning on drug trafficking charges (Tuesday, 15 August 2017).

Yesterday, members from Gungahlin Police Station executed a search warrant at a residence in Crace. During the search police located and seized a sum of cash and a substance suspected to be methamphetamine (ice).

The search warrant follows an investigation into the residence, after a vehicle was stopped by police leaving the address. During the traffic stop, police located a sum of cash and a substance suspected to be heroin in the vehicle.

A 32-year-old Crace man was arrested at the residence and taken to the ACT Watch House.

The man was charged with one count of possess a prohibited substance, one count of traffic in controlled drug other than cannabis and one count of possess drug of dependence and will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.
