Visitors to Canberra’s biggest and best Farmers Market, the Capital Region Farmers Market, will next weekend see a special guest ‘fly in’ as the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue Helicopter pays a visit to the Market.
As part of this year’s tenth birthday celebrations, the Capital Region Farmers Market recently announced a very generous donation of $50,000 to the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue Helicopter Service.
“We want our Market visitors and stallholders to be able to see the Snowy Hydro SouthCare Rescue Helicopter up close, and we also want to raise awareness not only of the outstanding services that they provide, but also of the support from Rotary Clubs across the region,” said Tony Howard, spokesperson for the Capital Region Farmers Market.
All profits from the Capital Region Farmers Market stallholder fees are fed back into community, international and youth projects, regional communities and other projects chosen by the Club. The generous $50,000 donation to Snowy Hydro SouthCare was announced earlier this month.
The ‘fly-in’ will take place on Saturday 5 July at 9am (mission pending), at Exhibition Park in Canberra. For more information on the Capital Region Farmers Market visit www.capitalregionfarmersmarket.com.au
