A Bonner man’s scheduled to front ACT Magistrates Court charged with 10 offences, including allegedly breaching three different court orders and bail conditions.
Operation Toric officers found a Mitsubishi Lancer with stolen number plates parked in Bruce at about 4 pm yesterday (25 October).
Police said they then saw the 41-year-old return to the car. When he tried to drive away, officers successfully deployed stop-sticks and placed him under arrest.
It’s alleged the man, who was on bail, refused to undertake roadside screening tests and was taken to the ACT Watch House.
He was subsequently charged with 10 offences: driving while disqualified, refusing to undergo a roadside screening test, refusing to provide an oral fluid sample, number plates not properly issued, unlawful possession of stolen property, using an unregistered vehicle, using an uninsured vehicle, breaching a drug and alcohol treatment order, breaching a good behaviour order and breaching existing bail conditions.
Police planned to oppose bail when the man fronted court.
