Woman from Ngunnawal charged with drug importation and trafficking

ACT Policing has charged a 30-year-old woman from Ngunnawal with a number of offences following the execution of a search warrant yesterday (Thursday 15 November 2018).

Earlier in the day a package was provided to police that contained approximately 50 pills. Following police enquiries, members from Gungahlin Patrol and other specialist Teams executed a search warrant at a residence in Ngunnawal.

Police located a number of items within the residence associated with drug importation and trafficking.

The woman was subsequently arrested and charged with a number of offences including drug importation, drug trafficking and drug possession.

It will be alleged in court the woman used the internet to source quantities of drugs from overseas through the postal system.
