Gungahlin residents may have noticed construction has started on Gungahlin’s newest suburb, Taylor. Located between Casey, Moncrieff and Jacka, the first stage of Taylor will have approximately 842 dwellings with a mix of single residential and multi-unit sites.
The construction work will also include the upgrade to three intersections along Horse Park Drive; Mirrabei Drive, Gaston Way and a new intersection to the west of Gaston Way. Initial work on these intersections will be beside the road and will not impact road users. Once work moves closer to the road area, in about a month’s time, the speed limit will reduce to 40km/h to maintain the safety of workers and road users. The intersection work is expected to finish by mid-2017 and the estate work is expected to finish by early 2018.
