raize the roof is a charity founded by local young Canberran’s passionate about improving the lives of children who are ‘less lucky’ than most. Powered by inspiration, innovation and dedication, the raize the roof team along with the Canberra community will assist local children who are suffering from illness and also children of the world who are orphaned due to disease or circumstance.
With the assistance of fundraising, donations and our amazing volunteers, the raize the roof team will build the raize the roof Charity House in Bonner with a goal of generating a profit over $500,000 once the house is raffled.
Half of the proceeds from the house will be donated to the Starlight Children Foundation to support seriously ill children in the ACT and surrounding NSW region.
The other half of the proceeds will go towards supporting SOS Children’s Villages, Botswana to help improve the children villages and its family strengthening program.
Should proceeds reach beyond the estimated $500,000, additional monies will be donated back to charities that ‘support kids a little less lucky’.
On Friday, 10 July 2015 the sleepy, earthly dirt at 17 Clancy McKenna Crescent, Bonner ACT was doing its thing, lying low and silent. Without warning havoc struck as the huge trailer delivered the Brema Group’s earth shattering 12 ton excavator and big rigid trucks. Boy, did they make an entrance! Within no time the unsuspecting dirt was getting all shook up and fearing for their lives. It didn’t take long to be introduced to The Rock; massive, stubborn and keen to fight for its right to stay put. Fortunately, while persistent and unshakeable, it was no match for the Big Rigs from the Brema Group team!
