The Federal election is coming up on the 2nd July. If you can’t make it on election day, you may be entitled to vote early.
You can vote early either in person or by post if on election day you:
- are outside the electorate where you are enrolled to vote
- are more than 8km from a polling place
- are travelling
- are unable to leave your workplace to vote
- are seriously ill, infirm or due to give birth shortly (or caring for someone who is)
- are a patient in hospital and can’t vote at the hospital
- have religious beliefs that prevent you from attending a polling place
- are in prison serving a sentence of less than three years or otherwise detained
- are a silent elector
- have a reasonable fear for your safety.
You can vote early in Gungahlin at 75 Gozzard Street, Gungahlin. This is the building behind the Joint Emergency Services building on Anthony Rolfe Avenue. Limited street parking is available.
- Monday 20 June – Thursday 23 June (8:30 – 17:30)
- Friday 24 June (8:30 – 18:00)
- Saturday 25 June (9:00 – 16:00)
- Monday 27 June – Tuesday 28 June (8:30 – 17:30)
- Wednesday 29 June (8:30 -18:00)
- Thursday 30 June (8:30 – 17:30)
- Friday 1 July (8:30 – 18:00)
