Police recover stolen Bobcat and truck in NSW

ACT Policing, with the support of NSW Police, have recovered a Bobcat and an Isuzu truck, collectively valued at around $140,000, which had been stolen from Canberra on Monday night (November 18).

Police received a report that a Bobcat skid steer loader and an Isuzu truck had been stolen from a carpark in Mitchell between 5pm Monday and 6am Tuesday (November 19).

Police received information which led to the Bobcat’s location at an address in Collector, NSW.

ACT Policing contacted NSW Police, who attended the location and verified the machine’s location.

The brand-new Bobcat was trucked to the ACT Exhibit Management Centre in Mitchell, where it currently undergoing forensic examination.

Further investigations led police to conduct a search in the general vicinity of Sutton, NSW, where the stolen Isuzu was located and it will also undergo forensic examination.

Detective Sergeant Bob Ball, from the Crime Targeting Team, said this positive outcome was an excellent example of cross-border investigative cooperation.

Investigations into the thefts are ongoing.
