A 29-year-old Lyneham man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Monday, 12 March 2018) in relation to a vicious assault in Mitchell over the weekend.
About 2.10am on Saturday, 10 March 2018, ACT Policing received a complaint of an ongoing assault in Mitchell involving three males.
Police attended and located an unconscious male with injuries. The injured male received medical treatment at the scene before being transported to hospital.
A witness advised police the two other men involved had left the scene. Police searched the area and located the men a short time later. They were arrested and transported to the ACT Watch House.
After conducting further enquiries into the incident, one male was released from custody and the other was charged with recklessly inflict grievous bodily harm.
