Gungahlin Uniting Church is now a collection point for the Share the Dignity campaign from now until the end of August.
Share the Dignity was established earlier this year in response to the urgent needs of homeless Australian women. During their period, homeless women are often forced to make a decision between having a meal or sanitary products.
Share the Dignity is collecting sanitary products in each Australian State and Territory throughout July and August. These products will then be distributed to homeless women’s shelters, with all the donations collected across the ACT being distributed across the ACT. The ACT is a strong and compassionate community and we know that this collection drive will make a wonderful difference to struggling women, and those shelters doing their best to help them rebuild their lives.
The collection bin is under the verandah of the Mustard Seed Food Pantry at the end of the Gungahlin United Church carpark, 108 The Valley Avenue, Gungahlin. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
