MLA Andrew Barr posted pictures today of the progress of the Gungahlin Aquatic Centre. See below for pictures. It is exciting to drive down into the town centre to see the progress being made.
The Gungahlin Aquatic centre will include:
- 50 metre 8 lane pool;
- 25 metre pool;
- Gymnasium;
- Dry fitness rooms;
- Cafe; and
- Childcare facilities
The centre is due to be completed in April 2014. The centre manager is expected to be announced in October 2013. This is conducted under a two stage process. The first stage is a call for expressions of interest. It is expected two parties will be invited to participate in a request for tender process.
