Martial arts are not only a great way to get fit, but also a lot more enjoyable then just working out on your own, and there is no better time to get started than the new year. The Cummings Karate Dojo has opened enrolment for Term 1 2016 and currently has limited spaces available in its juniors (ages 6-13) and seniors (ages 14 and above) programs.
The Kodokan Cummings Karate Dojo is in its 7th year of operation and is the only full-time Okinawan Karate School in Gungahlin. The school offers programs that focus on developing fitness, confidence, coordination and reflexes, self discipline, respect, and effective self-defence skills. All programs are suitable for beginners and those with experience and use a systematic approach to learning to ensure everyone can learn at their own pace.
Karate is suitable for any ages, and we have separate classes for adults and children, as well as options for parents to train alongside their kids. Karate is not just simply a form of physical exercise, it is a way to continue to grow one’s self through training the mind and body.
Classes are taught by the Centre’s Director Reece Cummings, an internationally qualified instructor who has trained extensively in Japan (Okinawa) and is supported by a team of assistant instructors. Classes are small in size with the aim to provide the students with the highest quality of instruction of martial arts and self-defence.
All programs offer two free lessons, and your first lesson is a click or phone call away. For contact information visit KarateCanberra.com.au or call 0429 392 785.
