Canberra City Health Network has been providing top quality health care since 2004 in our convenient central City location. We are very excited to now also offer our services from our newest clinic location at Casey Market Town, with plenty of free parking right out the front. Canberra City Health Network offers the following services:
Osteopaths are trained to be primary health care clinicians who can diagnose and treat a variety of musculo-skeletal conditions. Osteopaths use a variety of hands-on treatment techniques to help restore movement, reduce pain and improve the way a body is able to function. These techniques may include soft tissue work, stretching, muscle energy (activation) techniques, strain-counter strain and joint manipulation.
Physiotherapy is a clinical health science and profession aimed at treating a variety of conditions that contribute to the reduction of physical capabilities and mobility. Physiotherapists treat sports injuries, as well as spinal injuries and work injuries. Physiotherapists draw on their extensive training in, and knowledge of, the mechanics and anatomy of the human body, to identify the cause of underlying problems and develop strategies to help patients achieve their goals, whether it be return to work, return to sport or general wellbeing.
Massage Therapists at Canberra City Health Network are professionally trained to provide quality treatments for many conditions. Appointments are available for lymphatic, relaxation, sports and remedial massage.
Accredited Exercise Physiologists specialise in the creation and delivery of exercise programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. EP’s can develop a safe and effective exercise program to help you achieve your goals.
Hydrotherapy involves performing exercise and gentle movement in a warm, shallow pool to rehabilitate injuries and decrease pain. Water creates a reduced weight environment with gentle resistance where patients can move with less pressure on their joints. Hydrotherapy is usually undertaken in conjunction with manual therapy to manage injury and ailments. We currently offer group hydrotherapy sessions run by our Physiotherapists, at the Club MMM (CISAC).
Nutritionists draw on extensive training in biochemistry, physiology and food science to work alongside each client to achieve their individual goal. Initial assessment involves gaining an understanding of the client's desired outcomes, their lifestyle, dietary and exercise habits. A nutritionist then works in partnership with the client to set smaller goals as steps towards a larger outcome. A nutritionist helps you build a plan specific for your needs, and develop lifelong habits for good health.
Psychologists are trained to help identify key issues affecting your wellbeing, and develop strategies that support you to live a meaningful and fulfilled life. People seek the support of a psychologist for a large variety of reasons. Our psychologist Steve emphasises a strong working relationship, understanding that feeling comfortable with your psychologist is vital to effective counselling.
