Crace and Oorama Education have announced plans to deliver a new childcare centre.
Built in the heart of Crace, the centre will provide a long-day education and care service for 84 children aged from zero to five years.<!–more–>Crace project director Malcolm Leslie says the childcare centre demonstrates a commitment to building a wonderful community with essential services and facilities.
“We are building this suburb for the future of Canberra. Crace isn’t just about building homes, it’s about creating a vibrant new community encompassing a family-friendly culture,” he says.
“Oorama Education has embraced the Crace vision and we are delighted to make this announcement.”
Managing director of Oorama Education Fiona O’Donnell says they’re looking forward to becoming part of the Crace community.
“Teaching children about caring for their environment and sustainability is core to the Oorama Education philosophy, so Crace, underpinned by its principles of sustainability was an obvious choice for us,” she says.
The centre will accommodate children from birth to 5 years and will include a dedicated pre-school program with a qualified preschool teacher and educational programs catering for babies, toddlers and junior preschooler’s.
“Children have a natural inquisitiveness and desire for learning, we employ talented and dedicated educators to inspire children in their love of learning,” O’Donnell says.
“A strong early start in the Oorama world brings a future of possibilities for children.”
Construction of the centre is set to commence in March 2013 and is expected to open in early 2014.
