From Thursday 19 July, the Mapleton Avenue/Manning Clark Crescent intersection at Flemington Road will be closed between 6:30pm and 4:00am each night, excluding Friday and Saturday nights, for testing of light rail vehicles. These closures will continue for approximately two weeks.
Traffic Changes:
Flemington Road will remain open to traffic travelling northbound and southbound. Local traffic will be able to turn left, in and out of Mapleton Avenue and Manning Clark Crescent on Flemington Road. However, the intersections will be:
- closed to traffic turning right into Flemington Road
- closed to traffic turning right into Mapleton Avenue
- closed to traffic turning right into Manning Clark Crescent
- closed to all through traffic travelling across Flemington Road
Detours via U-turns at Wizard Street and Nullarbor Avenue
Detours will be sign-posted, with traffic management in place and highly visible throughout the works.
