Communities@Work are holding a staff “Can Construction” competition where teams have to build a structure from non perishable food. The Social Programs which Care&Share and Yellow Van sit under are one of the teams and they are putting a call out to the community for help. The design is top secret and all will be revealed at the end.
They are seeking donations of particular items to build the structure and all donations will go back to the Care&Share community pantries:
- Blue box jelly crystals
- Red box jelly crystals
- Green box jelly crystals
- Muesli bars
- Cereal boxes – mini single servies or under 500g
- Packets of brown rice
- Packets of pasta (any sort)
- Flour
- Sugar
- Packets of soups
- UHT 1 litre Milk
- Can food (any sort)
- Box Cake packets
Donations can be dropped at Communities@Work between 9-5 weekdays which is located at 47 Ernest Cavanagh Street, Gungahlin or at either of the Care&Share pantries. All donations need to be in by Friday 29th please. If you need any further information you can contact Carolyn 62936232.
