Leehmuis Hospitality, operators of both The George Harcourt Inn & Casey Jones Pub, are extremely excited to announce that their ‘$40 Farmer Parma’ deal has raised over $10,000 for the ‘Buy a Bale’ drought relief effort to help farmers across NSW.
Over the past two Thursdays Casey Jones Pub and The George Harcourt Inn were offering punters a special $40 Farmer Parma with Leehmuis Hospitality guaranteeing the entire $40 would go to charity. $1 from every regular parma sold on the days was also donated.
Owner Josh Leehmius said he was overwhelmed by the community support:
“I’m simply floored by how many generous people came to show their support for our farmers and have a great feed – we even had a vegetarian customer pay $40 for our vegetarian pizza just so she could participate!”
Casey Jones’ rugby team the Hall Bushrangers R.F.C participated in the fundraising efforts by volunteering their time to run a meat raffle which raised over $500 and several of the team members also purchased the infamous $40 Farmer Parma.
The ‘Buy a Bale’ organisation is committed to helping farmers across NSW suffering from extreme drought. They have so far helped distribute over $600,000 of much needed hay to farms all across the region.
The George Harcourt Inn is located in
Canberra’s Gold Creek Village.
Casey Jones Pub operates out of
Casey Market Town in Casey.
