Construction has commenced on Metro1 a four storey apartment complex located on the corner of Anthony Rolfe Avenue and Gungahlin Place.
This development is being constructed by Core Building Group and marketed by Premier Capital Properties.
This development will provide 12 commercial spaces allowing for restaurants along with other commercial tenancies ranging from 54.5m2 to 149.33m2 on the ground floor and 45 apartments on the upper floors.
Rick Farzan, Principal at Premier Capital Properties told us “We hope that the building will add to the amenity of the other buildings in the area and add valuable commercial space to the Gungahlin town centre.
Specifically, and unlike most other developments, we designed the apartments with a focus on space rather than just the highest dollar value return per square meter to the developers. Our brief to the architects was to design apartments that both they the architects, and us the developers, would be really happy and comfortable to live in, and not just tiny apartments that most buyers end up regretting buying after they get possession of their property and try and move in, and find that there is hardly enough space in the apartment to actually fit their furniture in properly. That is why the apartments in Metro1 are so spacious, with 2 bedroom plus study apartments that are 106m2 and one bedroom plus study apartments that are around 90m2. The apartments on the top floor also have a mezzanine level with high raked ceilings which we hope will add to their appeal.
I hope that our design and generous spaces will be appreciated by buyers who are seeking an apartment in a central location and close to all the growing services and amenities that Gungahlin now offers.”
