Total Fire Ban - 23 January 2020

ACT Emergency Services Commissioner Georgeina Whelan has declared a Total Fire Ban for the whole of the ACT under Section 114 of the Emergencies Act 2004 for the duration of Thursday 23 January 2020.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting hot, windy conditions with temperatures predicted to reach 33 degrees. Areas of dust haze are possible.

The forecast Fire Danger Rating (FDR) is predicted to reach VERY HIGH.

Residents in Bushfire Prone Areas are urged to review their Bushfire Survival Plan or if you don’t have a plan in place, to take the time to create one.
