The Rotary Club of Aurora Gungahlin marked its end of year and President’s changeover on Thursday 28th June at the 1882 Bar and Grill in Hall. Shown in the photo is the outgoing president, Denis Waters and wife Rosemary handing over to Laurie Abrams and wife Barbara.

In the past year, the club of 15 women and men has undertaken 2,200 hours of community service and donated $31,000 to needy community organisations.

The club also supported youth programs through its association with the Harrison school. In the coming year activities will continue to focus on supporting the local community, raising funds through activities including; Jamison Trash and Treasure, Bunnings sausage sizzles and the regular Jazz Nights in Gold Creek – to name a few.

The club meets @ 7.15am for a 7:30 breakfast every Thursday at Annie’s Armadillos café in the old Gold Creek Village and is always keen to welcome new members ofall ages.
