Gungahlin Starlight Guide Caroline recently organised a special community project to earn her Junior BP Badge. She sent this note to Communities@Work to explain why she chose Communities@Work.

My name is Caroline and I attend the Gungahlin Starlight Guides. To earn my Junior BP Badge I needed to organise a service project that would help develop my skills and give back to the community. I decided to choose Communities@Work’s community pantry because they help people doing it tough in the community where I live. I also wanted to help other kids my age who might not be as lucky as me. My project was to collect individually wrapped food that kids can take to school for their lunches. My Girl Guides Unit helped me put them into school snack packs and I delivered them to Communities@Work in Gungahlin. We made 50 bags for local families. I chose to do this because I am passionate about helping people who need help. I hope I encourage people in my unit to help others less fortunate than them. I will definitely like to do something like this again.
