Public transport
Public transport in Canberra will run to a Sunday timetable on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. Operations will run to their usual Saturday timetable on Saturday, 3 April.
The ACT Government has asked Canberrans to only use public transport for essential travel and to consider travelling during off-peak periods where possible to help avoid crowding.

Health

Bin collections
Canberrans who usually take their bins out on a Friday will have their collection pushed back a day to Saturday.
Affected suburbs include Acton, Ainslie, Barton, Braddon, Campbell, City, Deakin, Dickson, Downer, Forrest, Fyshwick, Franklin, Griffith, Gungahlin, Hackett, Harrison, Hughes, Kingston, Lyneham (south), Narrabundah, Oaks Estate, O’Connor, Pialligo, Red Hill, Reid, Turner, Throsby and Watson.
Mugga Lane and Mitchell Resource Management Centres will be closed on Good Friday.
Libraries
All branches and return chutes will be closed from Good Friday to Easter Monday, but online services will remain available for library users.

Domestic Animal Services
The Domestic Animal Services shelter at Symonston will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, but rangers will continue to respond to any call outs.
Residents can call Access Canberra on 13 22 81 to report a dog attack or injured dog or cat.
Access Canberra Service Centres and Shopfronts
Access Canberra Service Centres and shopfronts will be closed from 4:30 pm on Thursday (1 April) to 9:00 am Tuesday (6 April).
The Access Canberra contact centre on 13 22 81 will be closed on Good Friday but will be open between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Canberrans should complete their essential business ahead of time and online if possible, an ACT Government spokesperson said.
Essential services will continue to operate.
Non-exempt businesses over the border in NSW are closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
In Queanbeyan:
Garbage, recycling and green waste collections scheduled for Good Friday will be collected on Saturday instead, while bin collections in the Sutton Acres, Majors Creek and Araluen areas will be collected a day earlier, on Thursday, 1 April.
All waste facilities in the Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council area will be closed on Good Friday.
Library services in Queanbeyan, Bungendore and Braidwood will also be closed between Good Friday and Easter Monday, as will the animal management facility and the Queanbeyan Aquatic Centre.
Customer service centres in Queanbeyan, Bungendore and Braidwood will be closed between Good Friday and Easter Monday, but residents can call the after-hours emergency line on 1300 735 025.
