Witnesses sought to indecent assault in Amaroo

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an indecent assault in Amaroo last night (Tuesday, February 11).

About 9.30pm a 14-year-old girl was walking through Yerrabi Pond when she was approached by an unidentified man who was naked from the waist down, performing an indecent act.

The girl kicked the man before running away.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid to late 20s, approximately 6’3” tall (190cm) with a pot belly and short, dark-coloured hair. He spoke in an Australian accent, with a childlike voice, and had about 3 days of facial hair.

The man was wearing a black, round neck T-shirt, with a red and silver pattern on the front.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
