ACT Policing has arrested a 25-year-old man from Casey after he conducted a burnout while drink driving last night (Friday, 11 October).
Around 10.15pm police observed a black Toyota Hilux performing an extended burnout. Police activated emergency lights and sirens causing the vehicle to stop.
The man underwent a breath analysis test which returned a positive result.
The man was searched and police seized a small clip seal bag containing three tablets which are alleged to be MDMA.
The vehicle was seized by police. The man, who has previous drink driving convictions, was conveyed to Gungahlin Police Station where he was required to undergo breath analysis. He returned a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) of 0.131. The man was issued with an Immediate Suspension Notice.
The man was transported to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with drink driving, conducting a burnout and possessing a prohibited substance. The man received Watch House bail and will face court on Tuesday 22 October.
