The Gungahlin United Football Club are pleased to be supported by so many great local businesses, and corporate partners that help support our community. The National Dinosaur Museum have this year supported the Gungahlin United Football Club, with a successful sponsorship partnership. When the Under 8 All Stars team were looking for local sponsors, the crew at the Dinosaur Museum jumped at the chance to get on board.
Supporting the local community is important to us, and the Museum Directors. While we are a National icon, we value the support of local residents too, and the contribution we can make to the Gungahlin community” said Ben Wardle, Manager National Dinosaur Museum.
This year, Gungahlin United introduced team sponsorship which is an ideal opportunity for local businesses to support a team. Local businesses get their logo on the shirts, and the players get personalised shirts to keep post season, adding extra brand exposure.
“For us, the brand exposure is great, but it is also about seeing the smiles on the players faces. They are so pleased to have their own shirts, and having a team sponsor shows that everyone can be a super star!” said Ben.
The Allstars were thrilled to get sponsorship, and excited to have the Dinosaur Museum logo on their very own shirts. The team enjoyed having shirts that were different to other players.
“We thought it would be a good idea to get the team players to all autograph a shirt to frame in our foyer – the players were thrilled, practicing their signatures in advance.” said Ben.
The Dinosaur Museum have even extended their sponsorship, donating over 900 free admission passes to congratulate all the Discover Phase teams at the GUFC end of season presentation day.
GUFC Sponsorship Manager, Katie Puttock, says she is thrilled with the support the National Dinosaur Museum has made.
“I can’t thank the team at the National Dinosaur Museum enough. Ben and the team have gone above and beyond, not only with the team sponsorship, but donating gift bags for each of the players as well as the free passes for all the young players. This is a fantastic example of community partnerships that make our club what it is” said Katie. “Our parents too, are very appreciative.”
The Dinosaur Museum have continued their sponsorship of the GUFC ALL-STARS, adding 5 new players shirts as part of the North Canberra Futsal competition over summer. For more information about sponsorship and community partnerships with GUFC contact [email protected].
