The Gungahlin Jets holds an annual Business Breakfast to acknowledge its corporate sponsors and provide them with an opportunity to mix with other local businesses, the Jets Board and other club officials. The highlight of the morning is a keynote speaker. The breakfast brings together people in business to say thank you for their investment in the Jets during the year and to invite new partnership arrangements from other businesses.
The ACT Minister for Sport and Recreation, Shane Rattenbury MLA will attend and our guest speaker this year is champion waterskier, Sharon Stekelenburg. Sharon was previously the General Manager for People and Culture at the Geelong Football Club. She has many years experience in human resource management, change management, business, consulting, education and elite and professional sports management.
Sharon holds world champion titles in waterskiing:
- World Women’s Overall Champion in 1998
- Women’s World Champion in Jump 1994 and 1996
- Women’s World Trick champion 1998
- Second in Overall Women’s World Championships 1988, 1990, 1994 and 1996
- Australian Women’s Champion 11 years
- Currently hold Australian Women’s records in Jump and Slalom
This year’s breakfast is sponsored by Marsh Pty Ltd (insurance brokers and risk managers).
