Gungahlin parkrun Event Director, Russ Crane shared with us his thoughts of the day. “It was such a joy to experience the blaze of colours and activity going on in every corner of Yerrabi Pond District Park today. Seeing the sense of fun and the joy expressed by everyone who shared our day swelled my heart with pride in how this parkrun event brings together the diversity of our communities in Gungahlin. It confirmed to me that parkrun is so much more than just a run or walk every Saturday. It is a bringing together of peoples from all walks of life to share a common goal of physical, mental and community wellbeing. Of all the photos today, this is the one that brought me to tears. Showing our kids that you can mix healthy lifestyle with an enormous amount of fun. And they just loved it!”
