Just before 2am on Tuesday 26th February there was numerous calls to 000 to report a house fire at Mapleton Avenue in Harrison. Three pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van, a CAFS unit and two Command Officers were dispatched to the scene.The four occupants of the house evacuated safely with no reported injuries.
By 4:20am it was reported the fire was extinguished. The house has been extensively damaged with the damages reported in excess of $450,000. There was no damage reported to neighbouring properties.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage. Routine fire cause determination will be carried out.
