Throsby Estate is a Greenfield residential development located in East Gungahlin, adjacent to Horse Park Drive with Harrison the closest suburb. Throsby is located approximately 2kms east of the Gungahlin Town Centre and 11kms to the north east of Civic; Mulligan’s Flat Nature Reserve and the Goorooyarroo Nature Reserve are located to the North West and north east of the site respectively.
The site is 106 hectares in area and is defined by undulating grass land with a scattering of mature trees. The site has views to Black Mountain and the Brindabella Mountains to the south west.
It is proposed that Throsby will be developed as a residential estate comprising a mixture of single residential blocks and blocks suitable for townhouses/terrace houses, a community facility and a small Mixed Use centre.
Throsby will be developed as an ACT Government land development project by the Land Development Agency (LDA). It is anticipated that construction will commence in early 2015.
The LDA, on behalf of the ACT Government, invites you to find out about the development of north Canberra’s future residential estate, Throsby.
