Public transport commencing at Gungahlin Place

Transport Canberra is looking forward to welcoming passengers aboard as bus services commence at Gungahlin Place from Saturday 21 April 2018.

Gungahlin Place will have bus services traveling through Platforms 3 and 4 and is located between Hibberson Street and Ernest Cavanagh Street. The bus station is situated next to the future Light Rail station. Platforms 1 and 2 will become operational upon completion of Light Rail Stage 1 works on Hibberson Street.

With the opening of Gungahlin Place the permanent relocation of bus services will come into effect as of Saturday 21 April 2018. Transport Canberra has notified all affected schools of the changes to their service. Updated route information and maps for distributing to families have been provided.

Effective Saturday 21 April 2018 the following services will travel through Gungahlin Place:

Platform 3 (7011) will service:

  • Weekday Services: 56, 57, 58
  • Weekday Red Rapid 200 Series: 200, 251, 252, 254, 255, 259
  • Weekend Services: 956, 958

Platform 4 (7012) will service:

  • Weekday Services: 51, 52, 54, 55 , 59
  • Weekday Black Rapid and Red Rapid 200 Series: 250, 251, 252, 254, 255, 259
  • Weekend Services: 951, 952, 954, 955, 959

As a result of Gungahlin Place opening the temporary bus stop arrangements on Gozzard Street will cease and stops 6003 and 5056 will no longer be in operational use.
