Gungahlin College 2017 graduate, Megan is achieving her sporting goal by competing in cheerleading at the international level.

Megan trained at Sirens Cheerleaders for five years before trying out for and being accepted for an international level 5 team at East Coast Allstars in Sydney which are a prestigious American style cheerleading gym.

Sirens Cheerleaders is Canberra’s largest and most awarded cheerleading club having competed at local, national and international cheerleading competitions. Belinda from Sirens said “Megan was a cheerleader for five years and she was in our level 4 and 5 team. She’s a talented and versatile athlete with a great attitude and did many different roles on the team! We were sad to see her leave Canberra but so happy for her as well.”

Megan moved to Sydney in 2018 to train with the East Coast Allstars and competed in NSW/ACT state championships in September where the team took out the state championship for international level 5 and Grand Champions. Megan has now been promoted to the level 6 internatational team for 2019.

Due to their success this year, Megan and her teammates will now attend The Cheerleading and Dance World Championship in April 2019 at Orlando Disneyland, Florida USA. This is a dream come true for Megan with all her hard work paying off to achieve it.
