Icon Water Operational Update: Temporary water discolouration in Gungahlin area

Icon Water crews are carrying out essential work on the water network which is causing some temporary water discolouration in the Gungahlin area.

An increase in the velocity of water flow or a change in direction of water flow can cause water discolouration due to naturally occurring sediment being stirred up within the network.

We apologise for any inconvenience and advise customers not to drink the water if it appears, tastes or smells objectionable. We also advise delaying using washing machines and dishwashers as there is a chance that the sediment may stain clothing or clog filters.

The water is expected to return to normal with standard use in the next 24 hours.

If customers are concerned about discoloured water please call our customer team on 02 6248 3111 and select option 1. More information about water discolouration can be found at iconwater.com.au/discolouration.
