ACT Government budget 2015 - Gungahlin

Today the ACT Government Treasurer and Chief Minister Andrew Barr has announced the ACT Governments latest budget. Here we will provide a summary of the major points for Gungahlin.

This budget invests $62.3 million in road upgrades for Gungahlin.

  • $31.2 million to duplicate Gundaroo Drive between Gungahlin Drive and Mirrabei Drive and Anthony Rolfe Avenue
  • $17.1 million for Horse Park Drive. This will fund
  • duplication of Horse Park Drive between Anthony Rolfe Avenue and Well Station Drive;
  • upgrade of the Horse Park Drive and Mapleton Avenue intersection; and
  • Horse Park Drive and Well Station Drive intersection.

$14 million to improve roads in the Gungahlin Town Centre, including the extensions of The Valley Avenue to Manning Clark Crescent.

$30.3 million for a North Gungahlin Primary to Year 6, scheduled to open in January 2019 (possibly Moncrieff or Taylor)

$1 million for feasibility studies for Year 7 – 10 school in North Gungahlin.
